2012 schedule finalized

 

 

Clarksville Academy has finalized its baseball schedule for the 2012 season;  the schedule has been posted here under the "schedule" link. 

 

The Cougars will tune up for the regular season with Jamboree games against Northeast and Northwest high school on March 3 at NEHS.  The team will scrimmage Springfield and West Creek as well before regular season play begins in earnest. 

 

In addition to district 10-A competion during the season, the Cougars will face Northeast, Northwest, Stewart County, Montgomery Central, West Creek, Creekwood, Ft. Campbell, and Cheatham County from the immediate area. 

 

This season the Academy has added the mid-season William Workman tournament, which is organized by Clarksville High School.  In that tournament, the Cougars will face Station Camp, Brentwood HS, Oak Ridge, and Creekwood. 

 

Expectations are high for the senior laden 2012 team, and the aggressive scheduling may just prepare the Cougars for a post season run. 

 

The district 10-A tournament will be hosted by Clarksville Academy at Wes Smith Field again this year.  The tournament play-in games will be played on May 4, and the double elimination rounds will be played from May 7 through May 10.
